  Breaking parts

  • Hitting a specific part of the monster enough will break it causing that spot to take more damage and an extra reward to be given at the mission rewards screen

  Capturing Monsters

  • Monsters are only capturable when it's icon on the map has a blue dead-face blinking on it
  • Set a Shock Trap or Pitfall Trap and lure the monster into it then throw 2 Tranq Bombs while standing next it

Village 2⭐

Prioritization

• Do the key quest A Frosty Paradise and search bone piles in the Frost Islands for 4 Dragonhusk Shards
• Go to the Shrine Ruins and search bone piles for 2 Twisted Remains
• Upgrade your Bone Horn I to Bone Horn II
• Do the optional quest Great Izuchi, Great Pain again until you are able to make the Izuchi Helm, Izuchi Mail, Izuchi Braces, and the Izuchi Coil. The Chainmail Pants you made earlier are fine for now.
• Craft weapons and armor for your palico and palamute from the Great Izuchi Scraps you gained from making that armor, or exchange raw materials for scraps.

URGENT Mission

• Feathered Frenzy

  You can hunt the Great Baggi in the optional quest or in a frost island expedition to obtain the Baggi Mail and Baggi Greaves to make the fight a little bit easier with the Attack Boost amor skill which is generally more consistent than Critical Eye.

Village 3⭐

Prioritization

• Do the any optional quest or expedition in the Sandy Plains and mine Machalite Ore from the ore nodes there. Then you can forge the Alloy Vambraces and Alloy coil for a fast upgrade. You can also get the Jaggi Gautlets for attack boost instead of Critical Eye. Also forge the Wind Thief Horn I and immediately upgrade it to Wind Thief Horn II with the Machalite Ore that you got earlier.
• Start at the key quest Obnoxious Lord, Noxious Monster to fight the Great Wroggi as a starting point. Convert some Great Wroggi parts into Great Wroggi Scrap and forge new armor and weapons for your palico and palamute.

To get Delex you have to go to the Sandy Plains and kill the dolphin-like fish in the sand. Sonic Bombs will uproot them and stun them allowing you to hit them if you are having trouble.

Village 4⭐

Prioritization

• Do the key quest Raging White-Out. Focus on Breaking it's amber fangs for Bariguiro I which is in the Kamura tree after the Zurogong Primo I. You can also consider Barioth Vambraces and Barioth Coil for more Critical Eye.
• Do the key quest A Song of Red and Fire to go to the Lava Caverns and mine Firestone and Dragonite Ore. After you can craft the Ingot Greaves for both Attack Boost and Critical Eye
• After you mine the materials and have been carving Bullfangos, you can craft the Bullfango Mask. This gives the skill Bludgeoner which gives an attack boost at yellow sharpness which would only be used here. (this is optional)
• Use Volvidon Scrap to make armor for your palico and palamute.
